What do you do when you fall in love with a tree?
Well, you
get married under it of course!
At the start of April on a glorious autumn day, that is
exactly what Jan & Lisha did on a farm near Naboomspruit. Although an afternoon shower almost caused the ceremony to
be moved indoors, luckily the clouds cleared at just the right moment and the
happy couple could say their “I do’s” under the century old tree.
Guests viewed the
ceremony sitting on straw bales covered with sky-blue blankets, this added to the
wedding’s natural rustic feel.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed a selection of cheeses,
biscuits and pates provided by our sister company Dine by Design.

The reception took place under a stretch tent where the
natural rustic theme got emphasized even more with wooden tables adorned with
blue and brown runners and dried branches used as table decorations.

The couple also had a unique take on the traditional wedding
cake with their platter of Oreo cookies and traditional South African
‘Melktertjie’ shooters.

This wedding shows that you can incorporate the things you
love in your wedding. It makes for a fantastic atmosphere and gives your guests
something to talk about. The night ended with some dancing, and with only a few fairy lights illuminating the tent, it created a magic feel and brought a fantastic end to a beautiful day!
